‘Flavor’ – Tori Amos

Tori promotes multiculturalism in her adopted homeland, as well as her ever-expanding wardrobe (in the promotional video). Tritely banal lyrics sing thinly to a melody that is a sappy echo of former glories. Sad and perplexing, especially when ‘Flavor’ comes not long after Night of Hunters (2011) which more than hinted at a return to form. If you want to experience a car crash in slow- motion, then buckle up – you can play it safe, just like Tori Amos has done here. ‘Flavor’ is available on Gold Dust  – orchestral re-recordings – available Oct 15th.
